It is easy to consider that Maoridom leadership is focused on iwi and
hapu leaders, along with the Maori Party, Labour and some Green Party
MPs, etc.
Let us not forget that there are other Maori. Nicole McKee has been
elected deputy leader of ACT, joining other politicians in leadership
positions who can claim to be Maori - David Seymour, Winston Peters,
Shane Jones, Debbie Ngawera-Parker, Rawiri Waititi and arguably Willie
Jackson reportedly as the leader of the Labour Maori Caucus.
