why is the about page not c&pasteable?

What "about" page in particular ?
about:config is gigantic, about:about shows no promising about-names.

It's hidden under the menu -> help -> "About Firefox". But you can't
    copy text from there.

    about:support has enough copy-pasteable text.

Another issue with the "About Mozilla Firefox" issue is that there is no
way to to see or to copy link URLs without visiting them. The window has
no status line and context menu/right click is disabled.

P.S. Is there a way to copy version using keyboard without mouse? Ctrl+A
and Shift+cursor keys do not work.

    I didn't find one either.

If you click "into" the text (that's cheating, yes), then you can shift-select from the keyboard from there on. But you have to hit the magic space before
the first character to get the whole thing (at least I haven't found a way to move the selection's anchor). Yes I tried the "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages" setting. It doesn't seem to help.
Back then, there was this crazy idea that software has also a pedagogical dimension: to enable the user to learn and grow (even perhaps to seduce
    them to).
Nowadays it seems to be quite the contrary. I understand why Big Corp … la Microsoft, Apple, Google et al would want to do that, but seeing (nominally) free software copying that antipattern is... jarring.
    Cheers
