Hi all,
My name is Denisse. I am a researcher at the Engine Room <
https://www.theengineroom.org/>. We are a non profit that supports
civil society in using tech strategically to advance justice.
I am reaching out because, as part of OTF's UXD Lab <
https://www.opentech.fund/labs/uxd-lab/>, we provide no cost UX
research support to internet freedom projects <
https://www.theengineroom.org/ux-services/>. Debian came up in our
recent consultations as a critical resource for social justice
organizations in Latin America and we wanted to explore whether this
support would be of interest for the Debian community.
Our work typically includes user interviews, usability testing, and
design recommendations from an equity lens. Last year, we worked with
users across Latin America, Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia and Africa to develop product improvements and community outreach strategies for our partners.
Our research support could be a good fit if, for example, you are
looking to:
* Understand how the tool is being used in specific contexts or by
particular user groups
* Learn more about the needs and profiles of your user communities
(including potential users)
* Improve usability and accessibility, especially in high-risk contexts
If you are interested or would like to learn more, feel free to reach
out to me at
denisse@theengineroom.org.
Best,
Denisse
