• BundleNameStyle for multi-network uplinks

From Floris van Unen@2:280/2050 to All on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 09:07:46

    Hello everybody!

if, like me, you have multiple FTN networks going to the same uplink, it's important to set
BundleNameStyle addrsCRC32 in the config for HPT
otherwise HPT uses a timestamp to name the bundle archive file which will make multiple files of the same name in the same second, and then upon upload one of them disappears on the other side.

Or maybe BundleNameStyle Amiga? If the mailer supports ASO, of course.

Turn off arcmail and you can forget this 'issue'. :)

If you can prevent your links from sending "%COMPRESS ZIP" to your areafix? ;-)

    Bye, Wilfred.

I cannot prevent them _sending_ that, but I can disable outbound arcmail completely.
