    Title: Picnic Chocolate Applesauce Cake
    Categories: Cakes, Chocolate
    Yield: 1 Cake

    1/2 c Shortening
    1 1/2 c Sugar
    2 lg Eggs
    2 c Applesauce
    2 c Flour
    3 tb Cocoa
    2 ts Soda
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
    Topping:
    3 tb Sugar
    1/2 c Chocolate chips
    1/2 c Nuts; chopped

    Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add applesauce.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Pour into a
    greased 9x13" baking pan. Sprinkle with sugar, chocolate chips, and
    nuts. Bake @ 350?F for 40 minutes.
