    I had a Sperry HT from college, but when I got my new 386 after college,
    it was Yesterday's Jam (if any of you watch The I.T. Crowd).

    Then much later, you want it back to remember the good times you had with
    it.

    The 1000 and most of its line were basically the PCjr without the suck,
    and offered better color graphics than the CGA and (somewhat) better
    audio than the PC speaker, so they were the first semi-decent gaming
    PCs. The last 1000s and the 2500s were indeed basically just VGA PCs.

    For me it was the sentiment of having my first "PC compatible".

    DOS 3.3 in Rom and the enhanced graphics/sound was anothe reason...

    Its the reason I hung onto my Tandy's, just the ability to be able to
    lug them
    out of storage, hook one up and relive a temporary moment of nostalgia.
