    If a Google service goes down you might not get new mail, access Drive
    or Photos. Maps or YouTube may quit working - I have seen those two myself.

    I haven't had a Google Account on my Android for many years, Tom.
    If Google goes down... nothing happens.

    However, if Apple goes down, every dumb terminal iOS device dies.
    Apple designed iOS as a dumb terinal not for you - but for Apple.

    That is total bullshit. None of my daily use apps depend on iCloud or my
