• DVI TeX for CM4

From Jean-Michel@3:633/10 to All on Friday, August 14, 2026 12:02:17
    Bonjour,
I already posted this announcement on the porgrammer group, but it may not
be the right place => copy

    Hi,

With my ARMx6 I could write texts in LateX/TeX which were then displayed
    by the !DVI application.
I use a CM4 (Hydra) and the software no longer works, this is due to the difference in processors between the 2 machines.

Some instructions should no longer be used.

After a lot of trial and error I was able to modify the various modules
that are used by TeX and I can use it on the CM4.

I was able to test some /Tex files that I had and the files exported by TechWriter are well interpreted.

This is just information, but if anyone is interested I can make the
    executable for CM4/RPI4 available.

    RPi4 not tested

With the ARMx6 I have !SWish utility (SWI listing utility) which I find
very interesting. But it no longer works on CM4.

So I made the corrections and it now works on CM4. Thanks to Lenny the
    creator of the software.

Important: In the help there is a note on the software status.

Same remark as before: if anyone is interested I can make the
    executable for CM4 available.
