Has this app been discussed here?
It seemed like pictures on my Pixel 10 were being scanned when I opened
them. There would be a visible white line.
I thought it was sort of a face scan to group pictures with the same
face together, but apparently this app specifically looks for nudity.

These have no UI nor user settings. To configure, you uninstall (to disable/stop) or reinstall. You need to show system apps to see them.
SafetyCore, according to Google, only scans content sent or received
using Google Messages ... for now, that is. It has an API to permit
other apps to do the same scanning.
These are installed without warning, and without your permission. Maybe users with kids want to enable parental control (censorship), but what
is the demographic in age groups for Android? Most stats I can find
start the age grouping at 18 years old, so worthless to determine how
many underaged kids are using smartphones.
I haven't been underaged in over 50 years, and I don't self-censor
myself. These apps will get uninstalled the moment I notice they show
up unannounced (so I have to recheck periodically to counter Google's rudeness in not asking if I want them). I don't need resources wasted
on scanning for nudie content that I never send nor receive.
I uninstalled it after it appeared the first time on my Pixel in 2024.
It never reappeared so far.
