    from heated school and library board meetings nationwide to lay bare
    the underpinnings of extremism fueling the censorship efforts.
    Despite facing harassment, threats, and laws aimed at criminalizing
    their work--the librarians' rallying cry for freedom to read is a
    chilling cautionary tale.
