• LibreOffice or OpenOffice with Linux ?

From german newsgroups@3:633/10 to All on Thursday, April 23, 2026 13:53:13

with linux mint u can see LibreOffice is installed by default.

but, year after year, some people use OpenOffice with Windows.
and is very strange, hard to change the ergonomic setup for
    the user !

so, if u don't do the windows d‚tox yet ! may be, u would like
install OpenOffice on Linux Mint without problŠmes !

why ? we, can say LbreOffice is a clone to OpenOffice...it's
incredeble but OpenOffice is free ! and is a software from a
    BIG manufacturor.

so, the system could find some same files in LibreOffice and
    OpenOffice.

for me, force install OpenOffice with this command terminal

sudo dpkg --force all -i *.deb

after install, test the tool file roller, the package tool, if
it work well to make a zip ! u have finish...but if u have a error,
the terminal will say the command line to do to do uninstall OpenOffice,
and install again some tiny dependency loosing. all it s ok...i
install again OpenOffice, and all it done ! :)
